Breakfast at the hotel, drive to explore Jerash the Pompeii of the East You will enter Jerash through the monumental South Gate and find you wandering around in a Roman city. You will walk in the Oval Plaza surrounded by colonnades, visit the Roman theatre and Byzantine churches with mosaic-covered floors. Enjoy a stroll along Jerash’ main road the Cardo and pass by the Nymphaeum. You may experience the marvellous acoustics of the theatre, the stage of the Jerash music festival which takes place every year. And see for yourself how the Romans built the earthquake-proof columns of the colonnaded streets. Drive to the capital city of Jordan Amman. Explore the downtown part of Amman for 2 hours, visiting sites and museums including the Citadel, Roman Theater, Archaeological Museum, the Folklore Museum, King Abdullah Mosque (outside visit), Bazaar & craft shops. Everywhere you look there is evidence of the city’s much older past! After Amman City Tour, return to your hotel for overnight.
Proceed to visit Madaba is a combination of rural home life and a hot spot for religious tourism. Known as the “City of Mosaics” Madaba is the cultural epicenter for Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics. Just a short distance from the capitol visitors are just a stone's throw away from the holy monuments of religious iconography. After that we will continue to Mount Nebo. Referenced in Abrahamic texts as the site of Mount Nebo this township was first inhabited by a Christian nomadic tribe in the 4th century. Explore your religious roots in the religious town or visit Mt. Nebo where it is believed that Moses died as he viewed the Holy Land.
