Overview

In this trip, you’ll be in a time machine diving from era to era in Egypt’s exceptional history. First, you’ll be visiting the Great pyramids and some of ancient Egypt’s most sacred monuments, then hundreds of years later to Alexandria, Egypt’s window to the Mediterranean Sea, where you can explore a shade of its former cosmopolitan self and then back to Cairo to take a final glimpse of history in the Egyptian Museum and old Cairo’s churches and mosques.

During your trip, you will be assisted with Egyptologists and guides at all times, picked up and dropped off from your locations by our air-conditioned vehicles. Camel rides, snacks, water, monuments entrance fees are all covered.

Day 1: Arrival to Cairo

When arriving to Cairo, our representative will be waiting for you to help with passport control and luggage. Later on, they'll drive you in our private car to your hotel, to settle and get some rest. Meals: N/A

Have breakfast early because our tour guide will pick you up at 8 am to kick-off your journey. The tour will start by visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx. After that, you will have a 20-minute camel ride across the great Pyramids and visit the Panoramic Place. Then, the tour will continue by visiting the Valley Temple of Khafre, in which the priests mummified the dead body of king Khafre. In the afternoon, you'll be taken to a local restaurant to try one of the oriental Egyptian meals. Most of the tours stop there and tourists don't know that the Great Pyramids are not the only pyramids there and that will be your next stop. Thirty kilometers away from Cairo lies the site of Saqqara where pyramid building in Egypt first began. There, the Step Pyramid, the Bent Pyramid, and the Red Pyramid are magnificent reminders of the early architecture of the pharaohs and some of the Old Kingdom's most dazzling treasures. We’ll wrap up with a drive to one of the oldest and most important cities in ancient Egypt, Memphis. There you'll get to see a monumental statue of Ramses II and a beautiful sphinx carved from a single, enormous piece of alabaster. Afterwards, you'll be taken back to your hotel to call it a night. Time for our road trip, after breakfast you'll head from Cairo to Alexandria. You'll start by visiting the Roman Amphitheater, which is the only one of its type in Egypt. The theatre used to host huge ceremonies and events with a capacity of 600 spectators on marble seats. Afterwards, you'll visit Pompey's Pillar, which is the name given to this Roman triumphal column; set up in honor of the Augustus Diocletian between 298-302 AD. You’ll finish our Roman Era exploration with the Catacombs of Kom Ash Shuqqafa; these catacombs make up the largest-known Roman burial site in Egypt and one of the last major works of construction dedicated to the religion of ancient Egypt. They were originally constructed in the 2nd century AD. You'll later stroll through the garden of Montazah and visit Alexandria's enormous library and cultural center. And while in Alexandria, we can't of course forget the Citadel of Qaitbay. You'll be taken later to the hotel for check in and spending the night there. Meals: Breakfast

Day 4: Head back to Cairo and visit Old Cairo

You'll have breakfast at the hotel then you'll travel back to Cairo. the day will start with visiting the museum of Egyptian Antiques, where it's the home of 120,000 of ancient Egyptian Antiques Collection that dates up to 6000 years old, including the Tutankhamun exhibit, which contains his golden Mask and jewelry. After the lunch and water break, the tour continues by visiting Old Cairo. This tour focuses mainly on Coptic Cairo. Around Fort Babylon, Egyptian Christians’ oldest churches were built. In addition to being the destination of pilgrimage for people of different religions all over the world, this area holds ruins of the Roman fortifications and several churches. During this tour, you will be visiting Coptic Museum which has the largest collection of Christian artifacts in the world, the church of St Sergius (Abu Serga) which is believed is the spot where the Holy Family rested at the end of their journey to Egypt, the church of St. Barbara, the hanging church, and the old Jewish synagogue (Ben Ezra Synagogue). Day 5: Escort to Cairo Airport

Time for this unforgettable journey to come to an end. After breakfast, you'll be escorted to the airport and someone will assist you with final departure formalities. Meals: Breakfast
